Ratch
I bought this vac-form probably in the eighties and painted it very roughly back then. I have now added some scatters and barbed wire to this ancient Bellona (at least I think it's Bellona) vac-form trench diorama. The reverse (underneath) was filled with expanding polystyrene foam to give the 30+ year old plastic some rigidity. Badder
Hi Ratch, It's always great to see an ancient model brought to life. Not often you see a diorama base brought to life though, so how cool is this? Nice scatter and interesting to hear you used an expanding foam to beef the old plastic up. Can I ask what product it was, exactly? Also, you don't mention what scale it is, but I'm guessing 'one seventy tooth?' I look forward to seeing what you do with it. Rearguards, Badder. Ratch
Hi Badder, its 72th/76th (as above). The expanding foam was plumbers' stuff bought from B&Q, just sprayed into the cavity then the bottom flattened. I guess you could 'plant' trees into it. I've just got some Airfix WW1 Frenchies - they might occupy the dug-outs
Ozzy
Nice going Ratch, there are a set of WW1 trenches next to bulford ridge in Wiltshire that loo just like tat. Less for the barbed wire. 1

Nice close up of the groundwork 'scatter'. Very effective, even at that scale. Rearguards, Badder
