Great White Shark attack - Pegasus Hobbies 1/18

Recommended Posts

Picked up at Telford last year for £30, here is the vinyl and poly combination kit of the 1/18 Great white Shark and Diver / diving cage model. It is a fine model and a bit of a refresher to work on in-between the sci-fi stuff I have out on the bench. My intended final model will utilise both the optional heads, as the below pictures explain.

I expect to have to go through at least 3 stages of filling and sanding/priming, however these photos only run through to the second stage of filling.

The diver is rubber and was boiled for 5 mins and then wired into his new leg pose and had his arms cut, manipulated and filled into the new arm pose. The spare head will be used as shown, poking up from within the cage

Very much looking forward to seeing this progress.

There's something about the Great White shark that I find fascinating and more than a bity terrifying....

Thanks for sharing.

hi guys, here's a link to a similar build that is inspiring my intended finished scene - although I am being careful not to let out too many secrets this early on in my build - lets just say this link has "similar" end results

Oo this looks cool, I'm in - although if it's ok with you I'll watch from relative safety, away from the water's edge :)

the second attempt to sand and fill that horrible seam line was not sufficient so here is where I am, third time lucky I hope now

Mr Diver now has his arms properly attached - and a bit of a mouthful while being primed, more new mould join seam lines now showing themselves, more filler I guess..
