Michael M
Thanks, you haven't seen it before, because it's my own stupid idea If you want to try that, I'd advise to do it on something smaller and prefferably supply yourself with some pills or drops for calming nerves Edited April 20, 2018 by Michael M 1

Killingholme
Nice plating effect. Difficult to tell it is a smooth hull. The lines of Danton's hull look very fine. I am surprised she only made 19 knots.
Michael M
Boilers they used weren't the perfect match for the turbine, they were designed for standard triple expansion engines. On top of it half of the ships had Belleville and the other ones had Niclausse ones, out of which te latter ones were even worse than the first ones

As for the deck that's just the beginning, phase I. It's Tamiya xf-9 hull red, to create the dark tone. Phase II will be bright tone applied in the centres of those 'tiles' and last phase III will be well thinned linoleum colour misted over it to tone it down and blend it. Basically the same thing I've done on the underwater part of the hull. I'm kind'a fond of doing things this way I'm a fan of French pre-dreadnoughts hopefully it won't be the only one released in plastic... Martian
This particular thread has got me buying in all the extras I need for the HMS Agamemnon that Mrs Martian got me for Christmas. Who knows, I may even make a start on it! Martian
Michael M
I have Lord Nelson waiting in line. For now I just have the wooden deck, but I'll need to get 12 pounders as well from north star. Are there any other add ons that I've missed?

I got a brass gun barrel set along with the wooden deck and am waiting on some pontils to arrive as strangely Hobby Boss do not supply a stand with the kit. Not sure if the gun barrel set includes the 12 pounders but if not, I will get some from North Star. Martian
