I have been doing this model for quite a long time  just recently i have  got quite a bit done , i have made the bomb bay area myself  ( i will post close up picture of the build when i get them off the other hard dirve) , to make it more real i used the freightdog models Olympus 202 jet pipes , i also added some bits of thin wire in the wheel wells to simulate the looms

had to use the piece of plastic  to push the fuselage together , (not airfix mould it was due to me making the bomb bay area a little too deep)

From your initial shots, the bomb bay looks nicely detailed Rich. Looking forward to seeing it up close.

I have a Wolfpack resin bay for mine, not in the mood to scratch build one for it.

Oh and no doubt, a new tool Vulcan with all the trimmings will be announced by Airfix shortly :worthy:

As promised some of the photos of the bomb bay as i built it

started with the side cut out of plasticard  i slotted them in the correct place first to take the bomb arched before gluing them in

once i had got all the cross piece in i cut some very thin strips of plasticard on the guilotine at work then glued them on and cut them back to suit

all the cross pieces glue on

then on top of the cross pieces i glued some very thin plasticard to cover it , to simulate the wire looms i got some strands of  wire and glued them in

to represent the fuse boxes etc on the front arch i glued some small squares of plasticard on

i do have the measurements of what i used to build it somewhere , for the drawing and spacings of the arches i do give credit to a fellow modeller on her i forget who

masked off and the bomb bay sprayed first

a couple of coats of sea grey added

after letting the Grey dry i started to mask the  green areas by scaling up the Airfix instructions  then after looking closer at their pictures i found some in accuracies in their paint scheme so i then went to my own photos

after talking to Steve Hand ( he paints the Real aircraft) and finding out how he got the feathered edge , which he told me was by spraying wet on wet i decided to have a go here

Wow.  Looking very very good.

Nice to see you remembered to remove the TFR from the nose too,  was worried when I saw the first pictures that you'd forget it!

A few more photos

after i had sprayed the green on in the above post i decided it looked too light so i went with the green recommended by Airfix Humbrol 163  and resprayed over the other

the underside part sprayed , i stuck the bomb bay doors and landing gear doors in with Blue tac  so i could spray over them correctly

bottom sprayed with matt 163

then i sprayed it over with Humbrol gloss coat
