Wait, when I finished the Slyknight, I'll give you some Phantom Phever....

I'll finish my F 4B... I already dread your expertise on that subject...

Hello Dears,

Here's a thread that I will finish this year !!

So I restarted my Val...

IMG_20210103_010635

After all, she's a Navy bird too...

Well, I agree that the Tony is an earthbound one...

But, let's go on this one !!

The mojo has been a bit slowed yesterday on account of this !!

IMG_20210102_191659

A good Tartiflette with a good white wine to fight the bitter cold...

What else ??

Sincerely.

👨🏼‍🍳🍽️

Yum!

A D3A? There's a 1/48 Fujimi one in the stash, I didn't know there was a CMK set for it :) good tip.
Does it have a drift meter/sight?

I will take a pic of the destructions sheet and show it.

This kit is the Hasegawa one reboxed by Revell

I think that yes, there's a resin sight .

Sincerely.

These are coming along nicely--really like how you the metallic blues sorted out--best, Erwin

Thank you Sir,

I tried with the translucent green too, but it was not good at all.

Well, Hanging a resin part to a PE part glued itself on another resin part...

I ticked it as, Done !!

IMG_20210103_232845

It is not the funniest resin kit ever, believe me...

Wheels are ready for some painting now

IMG_20210103_235844

I must say that resin wheels would have been more interesting than some soooo tiny parts that will no longer be visible when the fuselage is closed...

More to come soon Gents !!

And thanks for your support !!

Stay safe and rnjoy Styrene !!

Sincerely.

Tnx :) looks quite comprehensive.

Definitely adding that set to the list, I'll manage to wrangle that into the Fujimi somehow.

She's in the Avatar rotation together with Jane Russell, Maureen O'Hara, Carole Landis, Hedy Lamarr, Audrey Hepburn and Esther Williams, but this is Lauren Bacall :)

I once had the privelage of meeting Maureen O’Hara on a Sandringham ( civilianised Sunderland ) in 1976 when Charles Blair, who she was married to, brought one to the UK to give pleasure flights. She was still beautiful.

Hello John,

I presume that it was the Sandringham bought by Kermit Weeks and now on its flying museum in Florida ??

She was all white !! and if yes, I saw her on her trip back to the U.S...

It was on Lough derg in Ireland in the '90s

Sandringham ? Maureen O'Hara ? and Lough derg... Everything is linked !! 🤨

Sincerely.

The Sandringham I flew in was operated by Antilles Air Boats ( they had two! ) and was the one seen on Louth Derg but I don’t know if it was the one bought by Kermit Weeks. There was a Sandringham moored on the Thames for some time which was bought by an English millionaire called Eduard Hulton who, I think , sold it to Kermit Weeks. Could have been the same one.

Did you get your Colourcoats paint in the UK when you went to Telford or have you found a supplier in Europe? The only supplier I could find in France has stopped selling them, and I could use some more.

There's a Dutch modelling shop that also sells them :  https://www.navalmodels.com/

Maybe worth a look, John.

Hello Dears,

Finally, the Val is not much longer than an Hurricane...

IMG_20210312_200952

But in a matter of wingspan...

Let's forget it ...

IMG_20210312_201031

Now, if we talk about the Airacobra...

IMG_20210312_201158 IMG_20210312_201109

Nevermind, cobras have surely downed some Val's...

More to come soon !!

Stzay safe Gents !

Sincerely.
