Aerobat
I have a friend looking for Vickers Viscount plans with contour sections in the drawings for a 3D project. Is there a source for MAP plan number 2358 on the Vickers Viscount 700 and 800 (or anything similar)? I have looked at the Aviation News (vol 7 no 4) set, but there are no fuselage or airfoil sections .... and those are not always the most accurate. BritJet
Traplet were selling them but the website says the store is closed. The Australian site is showing the Viscount - here Hope this helps. Steve
Aerobat
Thank you, I will pass this on. I have not seen this particular set of drawings, but the other MAP airliners I have show at least a few those section drawings I mention above. BritJet
You're welcome, the Viscount is one of the few MAP airliner drawings I haven't got. I agree with you about the Aviation News drawings, some of the 'errors' were deliberate as a way of detecting piracy but they do make life difficult for us..... Troy Smith
this section of airwar.ru http://airwar.ru/other/draw.html is drawings, this is the civil section http://airwar.ru/other/draw_civ.html No Viscount, but maybe worth a browse for anything else. John R
Argus books produced a couple of books of post-war jets which I picked up at an airshow but I haven't seen any since. They were also only military a/c. Here is another collection http://richard.ferriere.free.fr/3vues/3vues.html John
