1/48 Bobcat Models Yak-28P Firebar

Recommended Posts

Well that's finished the Yak. A very enjoyable build, despite the engine casing's fit issue, but that was easily sorted out, so don't let that put you off.
Aftermarket used was a pair of NeOmega resin seats.
Painted with Vallejo Metal Colours, and Akan acrylics.
Weathered with UMP wash, and Tamiya's Weathering Master System.

Ah, I found it. Two of your photos are over-exposed! However, I can't find a single crumb of comfort in the form of any little imperfection in that model. ;) It actually makes me want to build one and it's not really even my era.

Superb build. I'm most impressed by the typical leaning-on-crutches stance just like the real thing, and also the nicely detailed cockpit and engine pods. Photography is great too, my eyes needed a while to adapt to the whiteness though.

Great model of a great subject.....Well Done, sir

It is, indeed, a fairly unique looking machine and right out of a Dan Dare comic book in some ways. I recently got up close and personal with one at the Tartu Aviation museum here in Estonia.
