Based on Freightdog SR.53 masters from my resin kit produced a few years back, this injection moulded cooperation with AZ Model in 1/72 is due out at Telford next month. A limited edition Freightdog boxing will different decals will follow early in 2018.

S&M had tentative plans to release one in 1/72nd a few years ago, not sure what happened to that, shelved I'm guessing along with the FD.III, which is a shame.

Personally, a Saunders-Roe P.187, (it's in Russian but you get the idea).

Saunders-Roe P187

or Hawker P.1134 family would be rather nice too...

Freightdog's 1154 is good fun if you're OK with resin and the price point. I agree an IM model would be nice.

I built the RAF and RN proposals for a magazine article way back in 2009, scratched the Blue Dolphins and tanks...

Always wanted to do an FD III, even got hold of a couple of Heller Mirage IV's to hack up, (both 1/72nd and 1/48th) and have all the scaled drawings needed but for various reasons it never got done, maybe someday.

As mentioned it would be great to see AZ follow the 53 with an SR177...

Freightdog's 1154 might be good fun if it could be found!

If you are at all interested in the proposals to OR.329/F.155T, you need to obtain a copy of this:

By Dan Sharp, published by Mortons Media Group 13 November 2017. Contains original material from the brochures of each design and color renderings.

Sometime about 1970, maybe earlier, in Poland few badly copied from Airfix models were produced. I remember Caravell in 1/144, Mig-15 in 1/72, Sikorski S-55 in 1/72, HMS Cossack in 1:600,  Sunbeam Rapier in 1/32 and Sr-53 in 1/72! The latest looked like here:

Of them only Sr-53 was pre-painted (metalized?) silver (not white!)

image;s=644x461

It was available in almost every toy-shop, so for many Polish airplane fans in may age Sr-53 is one of most common airplane, which you have met in begining of your interest in airplanes. Nice to see it done differently!

BTW - with MiG-15 was funny story because original Airfix had Polish livery with number "red 346", the scheme of machine hijaked by her pilot, mjr F.Jarecki to Dannish Bornholm island in March 1953. What was a serious crime regading Polish communist state law. It was cold war in lushing and Mig-15 was a newest type of Soviet fighter ...

So when it was discoverd a big scandalus was in politicl police and then  it was produced with permuted number, "364"

I have the same box, but with all parts (except canopy) in white plastic. So maybe there were several runs in diferent colours.

That is so ‘out there’ it’s over the horizon and far, far away!

Now if only they did one in Red Arrows livery

Hmm....  That instructor pilot isn't gonna have any view forward.  Which makes it a tad difficult for the guy to do his instructing job, eh?

So, perhaps a bit of clear sprue bodged up to emulate one of those periscope rigs like were fitted to MiG-21 trainers?
