Pocher Aventador Build (Blue Roadster)

Fore?

No...reason being I had such trouble with the engine cover which only just is acceptable I wanted it finished and done with.I probably customised/painted 70% of everything but committed to nothing like the improvements both Roy and you did and are doing so left the back end as stock as every time I touched it at the end something went wrong.

Just bought a non pocher display case from Germany which is a bit bigger than the standard so giving the car more space ...its not here yet but will put pics up and if anyone wants one I'll send details...

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

Either way, the car looks amazing!  Please post up more pics, and in brighter lighting.  Don't worry about the rear hatch too much, as I understand it, it's only a few flat-head screws that need replaced.  I won't be getting to that step very soon- the transkit additions to the engine are extensive and will be the longest part of the build.  Thanks Mark!

Started working on the tranny and transfer case details.  The first picture shows the actual assembly, but the kit piece only reveals three sensors.  I decided to cut off the fake molded bolts and install 0.8mm and 1.2 mm SS nuts from Autograph.  Forgive the sloppy touch-ups, I will clean this up later.  I am contemplating making actual red and black sensor wires for each sensor, but finding a bit that small is a challenge, as the smallest I have is 0.8mm.  Tomasso's transkit indeed provides black and silver wire for this detail!

Great detail work. Could you not paint the transkit wire red

Yep, that's exactly what I'm going to do- but drilling holes into these will be difficult.  I may just make two holes with a needle and press fit the wires into them.

The most amazing display case from Germany...Packed to perfection ...bigger than HK-200 and it gives the car breathing space.

Hi Mark, can you share the name of the vendor in germany for the case?

Some progress on the engine block, transmission, and water pump.  Engine block and heads were painted Tamiya metallic silver, transmission was painted satin nickel.  I decided to use brass all around because I like the look of it, rather than exact scale reproduction.  Next, I will start tackling the tiny bolts on the valve covers, all 84 of them.....

Does anyone know why Flickr is not embedding??

Second post where I read that Flickr is not embedding. Perhaps my standard method is typical, but I always use 'BBCode' and remove all tags. No problems then.

Nice work, the detailing really adds to the model's attractiveness to a great extent.

Engine block is coming together.  Several transkit items are shown- camshaft ends, exhaust header gaskets, etc.  Besides the valve cover bolts, the next area of work will be cutting up and Dremeling the belt pulleys to accept the rubber belt from the transkit.

Sorry for the embedding issues- I was not able to locate the BBcode function.
