Godsmack
Hi Gent's ! I want to show you my newest finished model. It's the Revell F-15E Strike Eagle 1/48 scale. The model is painted with gunze colors (H305), gunze metallic colors and alclcad around the heat section. I also added a few aftermarket bits. Eduard photo etch cockpit panels and some exterior parts. eduard heat seaker cover and RBF-tags for the sidewinder missiles and sensor covers from two mikes. So, thats the model... hope you like it. Feel free to criticise ! Some Detail pics....
Simon382
A very nice result indeed. Weathered but not too much. I have this kit in my stash and, when finished, I will be very happy if it looks anywhere near as good as yours

SimonT
I think that may be the best paint job I've seen on an F-15. Love how you've varied the grey and weathered. Beautifully done.
Old Viper Tester
Fantastic model! Excellent finish and detailing. One criticism for accuracy... Your centerline store is an AN/AXQ-14 Data Link Pod. In the kit, this is intended to accompany the GBU-15s. I believe Revell provides two Short-Chord Wing (SCW) GBU-15s in the kit to be carried on stations 2 and 8. Operationally it was more common to use the AXQ-14 with AGM-130s, also only carried on stations 2 and 8. I don't think anyone makes the AGM-130 in any scale, but you could make one using an AIM-7 Sparrow rocket motor strapped under the SCW GBU-15. A more minor point is the location of the GBU-10 LGBs. If only two are carried on the conformal fuel tank weapon stations, they should be on the middle stations (LC-2 and RC-2) rather than the forward stations. Having said that, it is possible to carry four GBU-10s with one each on the fore and aft stations, so it would be possible to have the GBU-10s where you have them if the aircraft took off with four and returned with two - often referred to as an authorized "download" stores configuration. See: http://www.f-15e.info/joomla/en/weapons/loadout-configurations/129-desert-storm None of these comments are meant to detract from your model - I only wish I could do as well. In my previous life, in addition to flight test I was also the Strike Eagle Flight Manual Manager for ten years, so these details continue to rattle around in my little brain. spruecutter
I love the subtlety in the paintwork. There is variation in the tone without falling into the trap of the unrealistic panel line patchwork effect. Bravo!
