RWD-8 Interior colours?

Hullo all,

I'm building IBG's RWD-8 (with a little help from Arma Hobby's correction sets), and I realized I have no idea what the interior colours of the aircraft were. Was it all the silver some Polish aircraft were painted? Was the fabric a natural...fabric-y...colour?

Hello

In RWD.8 booklet, published by TBU, there are photos of both pupil's and instructor's instrument panels. Their surfaces are in colour of unpolished machined aluminum, similar to cowling of Fokker Eindecker, with black instrument dials. Plan-view colour drawing in the same booklet show inside of cockpits either in light gray, either in silver. Forty years old article about RWD.8 in Aero Modeller describes cockpit colour as light gray. Not much, but I hope it helps. Cheers

Aluminium dope I think. It was standard in Polish Military aviation of that times. Please note that in the PWS-built variant (PWS state-owned factory made RWD-8 for military) the windscreen and the cover between the student and instructor places was removable.
