Here's my build of the Skybirds '86 kit, with the outer drop tanks substituted by AGM-12D Bullpup AGMs, converted from the items in the Hasegawa weapons set. Great Scimitar  ... it always reminds me of the F3h Demon in looks.

Not too bad - very nicely engineered, with several features that I wish we'd see more of (that main gear leg locking system was brilliant). Very definitely meant to be put together according to the fairly detailed instructions, however. I did have some stability problems with mounting the empennage atop the fin stub.

Superb looking Scimitar.  One of my favourites, even though it had a short operational life.  Just out of curiosity what's going on with the photos?

I'd just attempted to erase the background of my particularly messy flat/mancave.
