That is just brilliant. Forgive me for one critique, maybe the figures could have been given a flat coat, but then again, it might just be the lighting for the photo shoot. Nevertheless, top marks from me.

Hi Drift and thank you for your comments. The figures are actually quite matt in finish but I think a combination of the light dry-brushing and light quality makes them look a bit shiny.

Kind regards,

Stix

Great diorama here.

Nice fix with your story about the yet relaxed air crew.... totally legit. Impressive work, especially given the limited time frame👍🏻🤘🏻.

Stunning presentation. The Yak is awesome and the tanks as well. Especially the weathered, streaky green camo looks very convincing.

Congrats that is an amazing Diorama.

1 question : Which background did you use to make the sky with clouds?

Did I say that I love what you have done already?

well done

Hi Jack and thank you very much for your comments.

The background photo was one of those lucky finds online. It was a copyright free image that only appeared for a short while on a photography website - I forget which one. I have looked for it since but haven't been able to find it. Unfortunately I didn't keep a copy of it - I printed it and then deleted the original. It was a very large image that I printed slightly blurred onto 4 A4 sheets of paper which I then laminated with matt pouches. These were then cut to size and mounted on some 4mm MDF.

Kind regards,

Stix

FANTASTIC.

Everything is fantastic. A real masterpiece.

I understand fully how time limits can curtail a diorama, and how time extensions can allow for changing only minor details or improving what's already been done, rather than completely changing certain larger aspects.

Still, I never questioned why your ground crew weren't diving for cover... clearly they are unaware that the enemy is engaging the tank crews. If I were the enemy I'd certainly open fire on the tanks first as the aircraft poses no threats whatsoever.

And I think someone is mistaking dry-brushed uniforms for a gloss sheen.

So hopefully they'll realise.

Again, fantastic work.

Rearguards,

Badder

Hi Badder, thank you very much, as always, for kind comments and support!

Hi.

That is so life like, in particular the mud and ground/vegetation and the rest of it is non to shabby either. Great work.

Thank you very much Head in the clouds - most kind.

I actually burst out laughing at this, mid-mouthful, and nearly spat my birds eye garden peas across the table.

Hey Stix, another masterpiece. I have already seen the individual pieces before but you did a super job of putting things together with outstanding landscaping. I do have a question though. What did you use for the larger trees  ?           Bob H.
