ghatherly
HI everyone, I am please to post my completed F-4S build. This is the new Zoukei-Mura kit and it is outstanding. I did a build thread here on ARC for those who want to see how it goes together. This is the 4th ZM Phantom I have built. Here is the link to the build thread: Thanks for looking.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
Very nice Phantom i followed your build and think the Z-M Phantom is top notch. Not a huge fan of the heater scheme. But your recreation of it does it some justice.
sonofjim
Superb . The Heater-Ferris scheme looks fantastic and for me is the ultimate finish for an F-4S . The weathering is also beautifully done .

exdraken
Great model! Is there any reason why it is also painted like that on the bottom? I thought it was to fool aireal reconsaissance... Edited August 30, 2017 by exdraken
ghatherly
Thanks for the kind words everyone. These ZM Phantoms are. just fun to build, at least compared to my usual 1/32 scale year long projects. I really like the way the GT Resin intakes and exhausts turned out too. These will be ready for sale in a month or so. 22 hours ago, exdraken said: Great model! Is thete any reason why it is also painted like that on the bottom? I do know that all of the Ferris schemes of this sort were wrap around schemes, and the drop tank was included in the scheme as well. Early on the Nose gear doors were painted black to show a simulated canopy to disguise the top and the bottom at a distance form other aircraft. It was removed in 1984 and this the period that I used for this model. The birds got pretty dirty after a three years of cruises and desert training and the paint was pretty faded by late 1984. mcdonnell
Hello,Ghatherly - A phabulous looking build of a phabulous aircraft.Although your chosen scheme isn't a personal favourite that doesn't detract from the superb quality and detail of your painting and finishing work. This is a magnificent kit and you've done justice to it. 😉👍 All the best,Paul.
