Hockeyboy76
So while the gloss is drying on build No1, it's time to crack on with the main event. Another 2 x12 hr builds for this as want to give the paint the best chance to dry. Starting shots Time to crack out the Tamiya Pink Primer. Jb65rams
Wow, that looks ambitious. Good luck, will be following with interest.
Hockeyboy76
A little distracted with the GP, but a layer of Pink primer has gone onto the cab & now has a layer of Fords carnival red which has a nice hint of orange (love a bit of orange). Chasis has been built and is under a layer of grey primer. Three things learned, 1 this must have been a snap together kit, 2 the spruce gates are massive, 3 ejector pin marks everywhere Paint pics to follow

SleeperService
I take your point where does the part start and the sprue finish?? I think you may be right about the snap together bit but should still look good.
Hockeyboy76
That's it for today. One more shift to go. Another upside down pic, but you get the idea. TTFN
Hockeyboy76
Last shift starting. Good luck to all of you building today. Decal cab body, paint dash dials, detail cab body, paint wheels, see how the chrome bits look once off sprues. Not much todo 😂 Edited August 28, 2017 by Hockeyboy76

SleeperService
Looking good there, very good work on the paint. I hope you make it without too much drama.
Hockeyboy76
Finished. Chrome plastic sucks! And I have lost in the move my Tamiya clear red & orange paint so running lights are being left silver. Overall happy with this effort. will get some more pics for the gallery.
Hockeyboy76
Well that was a nice way to spend a Bank Holiday. That was my first truck build, and as an ex truckie, I can tell you these Americans have got it easy. There wasn't any pedals in the truck, but two great big beds! Thanks for all your kind comments, hope your builds go well. I'm off for a sneaky nap before Mrs H realises I have finished. SleeperService
Lovely work on the Kenworth. Very nicely finished. I think this could be the basis of a lot of detailing work.... I don't know about easy American two stroke diesel and COE possibly indicates a certain level of background noise.
PlaStix
That's a great weekend's worth of modelling! Well done to both of you. Kind regards, Stix

Hockeyboy76
Thanks for all the kind comments. Little H enjoyed her debut and is already talking about a spitfire or tank for her next build. The Kenworth was a good kit, definitely shows its age and if I make another there's plenty of room for extra details.
