Pete in Lincs
This morning in a village East of Spalding. A late 50's Standard Ensign Estate car. How rare is that I wonder? https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fupload.wikimedia.org%2Fwikipedia%2Fcommons%2F7%2F73%2F1963_Standard_Ensign_estate_%282%2C138cc%29_front_3q.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcommons.wikimedia.org%2Fwiki%2FFile%3A1963_Standard_Ensign_estate_(2%2C138cc)_front_3q.jpg&docid=PbsAP3gZsBL0jM&tbnid=NoI2WKILyFVrhM%3A&vet=10ahUKEwjmvenklOraAhVCC8AKHUGdAdkQMwg1KAAwAA..i&w=3398&h=2200&itg=1&bih=637&biw=1366&q=standard ensign&ved=0ahUKEwjmvenklOraAhVCC8AKHUGdAdkQMwg1KAAwAA&iact=mrc&uact=8
keefr22
Rarer than a rare thing I'd say! Certainly more rare than the Rover built classic Mini that I spotted today, which looked in good nick & was in a nice beige colour, but with one of my pet hates - 'competition numbers' on the door - of a bog standard road car that wasn't in a competitive event! 1

keefr22
Spent the weekend in Hampshire visiting daughter and family. The sun had brought classics out in droves! Saw well over two dozen interesting individual cars, far too many to mention & in fact I can't remember them all! So, my top three were a stunning little bright yellow rally prepared Alpine Renault A110, a huge 1950's Chevy pick up (would love that as a daily driver!) and a lovely little black Lotus Elan (an original, not the later front wheel drive thing!) Saddest spot was on the M4 today, a burnt out classic double decker bus being towed by a wrecker on the opposite carriageway of the M4.... Whofan
Last Wednesday in the B & Q car park in Kidderminster was Riley Elf mk II, a maroon colour, in very good condition on a P plate. Today on the way to Sainsbury's a black Tesla X on a personal plate. Big things, aren't they?
rs2man
The other day I saw two Series 1 E-Types , one in Old English White & the other in Opalescent pearl Blue . I've also spotted a silver NSU Ro80 & a dark green Triumph TR6 which , rather unusually , was wearing chrome wires instead of the usual steels . Finally I saw a Mk1 VW Jetta - haven't seen one of those in ages .
malpaso
On Sunday I saw a convoy of classic Lotus cars along with some Elise types. Then a whole load of pre1930s cars including several Model Ts. There’s nothing like barrelling down a 1:10 single track hill on a bike towards one of those brass radiators - there’s a remarkable number of pointy out bits to impale oneself on! Later at the local pub the pre1905 contingent were out in force. It was interesting to see how out of date a 1902 Oldsmobile was compared to a 1901 Darracq.
keefr22
Looking resplendent in the sunshine earlier, an immaculate turqoise Volvo 850 saloon. Pretty mundane but I can't remember the last time I saw one.

Pete in Lincs
In a small village East of Spalding lies a garage that restores old sports cars. Today I spotted there 3 or 4 Elans, a Cobra (replica?) and an AC 3000ME. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/61/AC_ME3000_yellow.jpg/280px-AC_ME3000_yellow.jpg
