Spot of the Day Part 2

Recommended Posts

1971 Citroen DS eastbound on the A47 near Wansford this morning,

Unfortunately it was broken down and the tow truck had blocked the single carriageway heading towards P'boro.

Late again...

I've seen one before, maybe the same one, but...

Chrysler 300 sporting Bentley badges.

I don't think it's goind to fool many people.

Especially with that interior!

I've seen one of those as well, when they first came out.

Today in Cambridge. A Citroen HY van and a Renault Estafette 800 high roof van parked together.

Last week.  H reg Peugeot 205. Getting rare now.

I'd forgotten - last trip up to Hampshire followed a white H reg, 4 door diesel 205 (GRD?) for about twenty miles on the M4. Didn't overtake him as he was cruising at a comfortable indicated 80 - and with no smoke!

Yesterday afternoon in Lincoln, something I've not seen in years,

An Alfa Romeo GTV on a Y reg. Silver, similar to the one in the link.

Saturday saw an immaculate Jaguar XK 120 trundling through Banbury.

Sunday a Mk1 Golf and a Ford Sierra.

Complete Matrix moment today, with two white MGB GTs within a mile of each other!

Saw this on a low-loader going down the M3 this evening.

Back last summer the missus & I were in Alresford when they were moving a West Country class loco from the Watercress to visit the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Brilliant manouvering by the driver to get out of the station car park, down the narrow station approach road & then to negotiate the T junction at the end!

^ An 'F' model. My first car in maroon and grey.

Over the last week, a yellow T reg Triumph Spitfire, a rough Mk 3 'E' Type jag and a Chevy pick up, like this:

The latter two by the port, having just been imported.

On the way back from the Merry Hill centre near Dudley, a car with a number plate almost designed for members of Britmodeller - the plate read

** * BM

I've deliberately not shown the full plate, to preserve the owner's privacy.

So ladies and gents, if you want a Britmodeller number plate, you can get one !

Late this afternoon in South Lincoln.

A Volvo 480 looking fresh out of the box.

Yet it was a K reg, so 1991?
