One thing that really stands out is the full depth engine inlets. Well done ..oh the nose wheels, as mentioned earlier due to poor low speed differential brake authority the Gannet had to steered on deck by a steering arm and two jolly jack tars. To enable this the two nose wheels have to be able to freely rotate independently of each other for ground handling, however for take-off and landing you really want the two wheels locked together to prevent shimmy or a turn occurring, for this reason the stb'd nose wheel has a centrifugal clutch in it which locks the wheels together as speed increases in forward motion.
