GordonD
The latest cargo flight to the ISS has arrived safely. SpaceX Dragon CRS-12 was berthed yesterday (16 August) by Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli. Here's a timelapse video of the launch, first stage recovery, capture by the manipulator arm and berthing to the ISS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2od5IRQW8D4
Anthony Kesterton
Excellent video. I did not realise SpaceX was landing on solid ground (rather than the ship-based landing)
Eric Mc
Oh yes. They've done it a few times now. It depends on the nature of the payload and the intended orbit as to whether they can - a) bring the 1st stage back for a land landing b ) land it on a barge c) not land it at all
