OK so not figures but used for the painting of, I could say these are my first proper paint brushes from a company just down the road from me called  Rosemary & Co.

For just about £10 I get two

SERIES 33. PURE KOLINSKY Pointed in size 0 and 2

And a SERIES 101. PURE RED Sable size 00.

They came in a letter box size box with catalog full all sorts of geeky brush stuff and a small magazine full of real arty stuff.

I have given the brushes a rinse and brushed some thinned paint onto some scrap plastic. They all feel very soft the 0 and 2 seam to hold a lot of paint that by some sort of magic get onto the plastic very easily. I cannot seem to tell the difference between the 0 and 2 when painting the letters on old runners and the 00 seams to do nice small dots. They are all very different to my GW and cheap art shop brushes and I'm sure I will be a brush painting God with these. 😱

Gone a bit mad. I bought a single sprue of Warlord Games plastic English Civil War infantry, to reinforce my existing units, plus a very nice Warlord metal mounted commander, so I don't have to keep nicking an army general from the ranks of mt cavalry.

I also succumbed to a box of Gripping Beast Dark Age Light Cavalry...

Picked up a few new figures and box sets to kick off the New Year and keep me out of the mid-day sun, figures are WarHammer,28mm Dark Elder Reavers cool looking speed bikes, still trying to figure what colour to paint them, and another cool looking one with plenty of eyes,Gaunt Summoner.A War Hammer box set Delaque Gang, like the leather coats and pale white washed faces, last 2 boxes are 28mm North Star FrostGrave,Soldiers and Cultists, like the hoods on the last set, will have fun playing around with the colours on these figures.Cheers.

I bought this little chap ( I call him race Rupert Rabbit) as a recast from China as I couldn't find out anything about it or were it's from, I would love to buy an original.

This is how he looks after quite a bit of time cutting sanding heat bending to get it all to fit and there is still a bit to do. He is for a figure build over on scifiantasy.com.

Down here there are some good buys on,A nice change to be able to buy in OZ,picked this set up with a great discount(Now who can resist a bargin)I do like the Middle Earth figures, but to buy and paint them all,I'm sure I will not have the time or the money. So this kit will do for a start,I do have the WargRiders coming, they almost cost me nothing with my reward points. The MordorTroll is cool, but I do not like the Witch King of Angmar on Fell Beast, will try and sell that one on.Cheers.

Have some more kits to add to my list,we are on a long holiday weekend and the mail is all over the place some kits have arrived and some are still to come, will add as they do to this post, latest are and I am sure will please you Napoleonic fans,WarLord 28mm British household brigade Cavalry and late Hanoverian Infantry.
