usetherudders
Lovely photos, I was there on the Sunday, terrible weather at the end of the day causing the Typhoon to cancel.
sunray
Thanks chaps. 4 hours ago, usetherudders said: Lovely photos, I was there on the Sunday, terrible weather at the end of the day causing the Typhoon to cancel. Friday night was the best weather but I think for a free air show you can't complain. Plus I only live about 20 minutes away. As for the Typhoon it must have been nice and clean when landed as it went through a jet wash (if you pardon the pun) with that rain. Thanks anyway mate. gregg136
Great photos, we went to the Friday night launch event and despite the sub zero temperatures (Why did I wear shorts!) it was fantastic as usual. Saturday I walked over (I live pretty much slap bang in the middle of the city so it's only 15 minute walk to the sea front) saw the Air Ambulance and the Typhoon but when he rattled off a list of what had cancelled it was everything I wanted to see. Sunday I just stood at the back and watched the Spitfire do a lazy circle over the house. That photo of the Typhoon climbing with the darkened skies though

I know what you mean about the Friday night temperatures on the Sunderland seafront. As it was July I had two coats on, something I learnt from last year on "The North East Rivera" Just to bore you even more here are a few more photo's of Sunderland.

Thanks mate. Out of the three days Steve, Friday was the best for the weather. Sunday wasn't too bad up until the Chinook display as the heavens opened then. My camera's auto focus was having trouble focusing near the end of the display it was that bad. Also the Typhoon couldn't do its display due to the weather. Oh well may be next year.
