Grumman Widgeon (FAA), Pensacola 1944 (1/48)

Recommended Posts

Latest of the bench is the Classic Airframes Grumman Widgeon, in FAA markings.

Nice little kit for a CA model. As it's a CA kit you just know there is a lot of filler in there .

This is also a test for using Flickr....so here goes.

Please feel free to comment etc.

thanks for looking

I did the very same scheme in the old Lindberg kit; I'll bet I can match you putty glob for putty glob!

But seriously...truly lovely work. It always amazes me that such an awkward-looking design can look so graceful, but you've captured it beautifully!

Cheers

Many thanks for your kind comments and likes guys.

Sorry Dazey but I'm not taking part in a group build at the moment.  Just looked at the stash and this just shouted ....build me :D

That's stunning.  There's no mistaking its Grumman lineage and it lends itself well to FAA colours, which are beautifully applied I might add.
