Vietnam 1st Air Cav Huey

Picking up the new 1/48 Kitty Hawk UH-1H and would like to do a 1st Air Cavalry version.

 

Not had any luck finding aftermarket decals................any ideas ?

Hello Paul ... many moons ago when i tried the same thing i had zero luck. I was using the old Italeri kit about 15 years ago. And found nothing. As this is a new release there may be some hope for an After market company to produce a sheet or two. X'ing fingers and it would be blasphemy not to have a 1st air cav. on the sheet.

I'm in the same boat. I'd like to go full Col Kilgore with mine, "1st of the 9th, Air Cav".

Nocool my uncle was in the 1st of the 9th. He died in country on 11 oct 1967. Thats why im named for him and exactly the reason i wanted the air cav Decals. He was a member of Combat tracker team 8. They were the dog teams that recon'd ahead of the main group.
