You're one of the good ones Simon.

Some right so-and-so's liked Spitfires too...

Hello Simon !

Ah Seafires at least...

Great idea !! Différents color schemes !!

Now if you prefer Spitfire, feel free to call them hooked Spitfires

Nice to see your production line back in the arena !!

Sincerely.

CC

Apart from the later, Griffin Seafires, I'd say Seafires and Spitfires were the same aircraft.

You've made the Eduard one then.

I've been writing and recording an EP over the last couple of weeks so not an awful lot.of modelling has been done but I've got the Seafire ready for its transfers:

and the Sword XIV I mentioned earlier, is nearly ready for painting:

I used Master barrels because I lost patience trying the trim the supplied parts to fit - incidentally, did Sword actually do a test-build of this kit before release? Because it's a pig of a kit.

Thanks for looking.

Started putting transfers on the Seafire:

I really like Freightdog transfers; they're glossy, in-register, and settle down easily.

Meanwhile, the XIV has a first coat of paint but had no photographs taken.

Thanks for looking.

Nice work on the many (two piece cowling, wing roots, wing tips) difficult seams on this kit Simon.

Seconded! :)

Thanks gentlemen.

While the glue on the Seafire's undercarriage dries, I've given the XIV a coat of Colourcoats Dark Green:

I think it'll need a light sanding before the next coat.

Thanks for looking.

As the Freightdog/ KP Seafire only needs it's pitot tube painted and a matt coat on its underside, the Sword XIV has had a gloss coat prior to getting its transfers and the AZ IX about to be assembled, I thought I'd start another.

This:

with this

here are the bits freed from their bag

20190204_191827

While they're soaking in some soapy water, I've cut some plastic and used this...

20190204_192620

to get this:

2019-02-04_07-37-29

I have made one of these before and I really ought to finish it

Thanks for looking.

That's some dab work with the cutting, Beard, that's my greatest modelling fear.

All you you need is a pair of sprue cutters, a scalpel, a SRHC file, and to remember that there's nothing to fear except fear itself.

Some glue, some paint and I have something that resembles a Spitfire...

I've found that I've run out of several essential paint colours so progress may be slow until my order from Sovereign Hobbies arrives.

Thanks for looking.

It's an Airfix XIX with the Freightdog XI conversion kit.

Work has re-started.

I was really hoping it was a pound of bacon, just for the laugh.

spitfires are looking good! You really are flying through them at an alarming rate.... can you squeeze in 4 mk vb’s, vc and a mk ix? Asking for a friend
