Brundledonk
this is " Billy Bones "from the partwork magazine How your body works that was released a little while back and part one and two were on sale for a reduced price as they tend to do on these kind of pay monthly deals and I picked up a few Copies as they were very cheap and I do like to muck about with things that are leftfield from time to time. Here's Billy at the start of play i fancy myself as a bit of an amateur surgeon so out with the bone saw Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
Billy now has a very open mind The hole sizes were not a random accident as I had already procured some suitably sized greeblies from my box of old carp Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
The part is a spare from some plumbing bits left over when I fitted a new toilet down here in the Pete Cave As is this bit which is the flush button ( just press to clear your mind ) i'm going to glue this in the pressed position to give some depth but have just used a toothpick for the photo Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
Another greeblie for his right eye and a few scores and brackets added along with an old bit of flexible cable just for a laugh Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
I gave it a goodly covering with Halfords finest white primer and then masked and sprayed a ton of alclad in different shades working form lightest to darkest to add some depth Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
I thinned out Vallejo sepia wash to within an inch of its life and used it to tone the White primer Not forgetting his dome ( note the funky white primed hand ) Back in with the airbrush using the same mix but gradually adding black for shade Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
Boo ! Im spraying in a random blotchy pattern and trying hard not to be too uniform More shading added and I think I'm about there also added a few teeth sprayed in aluminium Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk
Brundledonk
Teeth were sprayed off White and then with a little brown at the roots and glossed. Then everything can start to be put together Edited July 14, 2017 by Brundledonk

Pete in Lincs
Alas poor Billy. I glue him well. (He's just plumb out of luck). Love it!
Whofan
I've been trying to work out some funny comment on the lines of a bit skeletal, but stunning, then I realised it is just that - stunning! And top marks for the use of your home accessories

Will Vale
I'm bone tired so don't have any puns to offer, sorry. Love the head, it could be a servo skull from WH40K. Even more impressive that it's so big Do I spy some Meccano in those brackets? Cheers, Will

oileanach
I love it! That's a fantastic build mate. I can see the attraction, I've got a few skulls around here myself, but they're all pretty boring- bone or various shades of chrome. There must be a skeleton of puns I could make, but I can't think of anything humerus right now...

Madmonk
Absolutely brilliant. For some reason I'm thinking of the Mars Attack movie when I look at Billy! He won't be going to any parties though, he's got no body to go with!! After you with the coat Chief Smeg.
