Superb.Top class painting and weathering.Must re-read "The Last Valley".

Cheers Glatisant, not read `The Last Valley` might have a look on Amazon, btw have you read `Hell In A Very Small Place` by Bernard Fall, `unputdownable` even after the third time I read it ( if there is such a word :) )

Thanks too, to everyone for your positive feedback and likes, appreciated

Wow! More pictures please.

Thanks Jamie,

Unfortunately a lot of my earlier postings  were disabled by the PB Ransom scheme, but I`ve re-populated the Spitfire and the AU-1 Corsair, there`s also a French Indochina Grumman Goose that was done recently. If you click on the `Tag` Indochina you`ll find them easily. I`ll probably re-populate the others over time when time and other commitments allow.

All best, Russ

Russ, very nice set!

Regarding ex-Japan machines there were I think Ki-51 Sonia, Ki-21 Sally, Ki-36 Ida, not only Hayabusa and Jake in French colours...

Lot to do

Cheers

Hello Russ !

Now.. You cannot deny the word "expert" both in models and history.

Great job and superb collection.

I was friend with a french pilot from the "Saintonge" flying the Bearcat.

They had a game...

Racing in the bay of Along, the first who get over the top of these huge rocks was deemed to pay the fees of the party in Hanoi ..

He did gave me some photos, but I must remaster it.

Congratulations.

Sincerely.

Hello Russ,

What a magnificent collection. My favorite is the Corsair.

Question: What is the difference between a Mark 4 or 5 Helldiver.

It was all over after the battle of Dien Bien Phu

Regards, Orion / The Netherlands.

Hi Orion, Thanks. Differences between the MK 5 and the rest are: an extended bomb bay and doors to facilitate carrying a torpedo, frameless canopy, different propeller ( I modified an old Thunderbolt one ) and different cockpit layout with side consoles. there are probably lots of other detail differences but I didn`t bother with anything else.

Cheers Russ

Hi Corsaircorp,  Sand paper, epoxy glue, plastic card and filler are ( will be ) your friends , the decals were very good. I used a spare spinner and propeller off an Eduard Airacobra as the kit spinner resembled a peanut. But it can`t be that hard as I managed it.

Good luck with yours, hope to see it someday.

Cheers Russ.

Wonderful job Russ,

Really makes you stop and look when you see familiar aircraft in unfamiliar markings.

Let me know when you are next running one of your "How to weather" classes, so I can buy a ticket in the front row !

cheers Pat
