Revell 1/225 HMS Victory

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

This is the Revell 1/225 HMS Victory that I made quite a while ago which was all hand painted as I hadn't discovered airbrushes at the time. Oh how I missed out!

One of the few builds that I did not add lights to.

Hope you like it and thanks for viewing.

It is nice to see another HMS Victory especially not with the familiar Checkerboard scheme. I read that Nelson introduced it on Victory,  the standard at the time being ochre and black bands like your superb model. The checkerboard scheme subsequently became the Royal Navy standard after 1805 in honour of Nelson.

We'll done .

Thanks Paul, for the appreciation. I can see areas that I could have improved on and it may be nice, in the future, to do this kit again using an airbrush instead.

This is how I remember the ship (though I wasn't actually there at the time) so I understand what you were saying about the paint scheme and agree with you.
