Pete in Lincs Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Great stand, build, paint, detail! I think we have a winner! BTW, in days of old a dead soldier would be carried home on his shield. This one has a coffin shaped shield, not a good omen! 1
Gimme Shelter Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 this is very excellent paint and weathering work - way above anything I could ever dream of producing let alone even contemplate trying to work out how to start to produce - quite brilliant Its is probably my age but I don't know the model subject - but I can compliment you on your work and end result 1
rockpopandchips Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 Thanks Pete very nice of you to say so. I see what you mean about the coffin as well and as for the comp there are a lot of much better builder than me entering and at least one i know of thats a pro.

Cheers Brian.
Hunter Rose Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Killer work Brian, finish and weathering are excellent and the mono eye is the cherry on the cake. Great job! 1

Great job! Thank you. The eye was a pain to get right but im glad i did, giving some serous consideration to making another but in the standard red white and black colours. I would stump up the cash for the MG but i just can not see £70-80 in them.
Thud4444 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) If you knew Gundam, the coffin shield is appropriate. GM's die in bulk. Any thoughts on doing Lydo Wolf's GM cannon? http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/gihrensgreed/rgc-80-lydo.htm I'd be interested in seeing what you would do with it. Edited July 9, 2017 by Thud4444 1

Will Vale Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Came back to have another look at this and realised I never commented on the finished model! I think the weathering looks great, lots of texture and little bits of colour peeking out like the pink at the bottom corner of the shield. The nameplate is really classy too, is that printed paper on clear acrylic? With the finishing it looks like some kind of sci-fi artifact. Will 1

Will Thanks a lot Will, I use a lot of your work as references so thanks. The nameplate is just printed paper, glued on with PVA and glossed over, I was going to keep the nameplate gloss but ended up getting some paint on it some it finished up weathered as well.

Thud4444 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 That didn't come out like I intended, apologies. What I meant was it was impressive how your paint job turned out. The other suits where highly modified, especially that GM. (yikes!) Yours is a perfect example of the "less is more" building style. Just great details and a wonderful paint job. I offer another apology. I did not mean any disrespect. 1
