Scratchbuilder
Just building a Le Mans Models kit in 24th scale of a Tank Bugatti for a friend and am at the decal stage, but ye Gods, are they made of rubber?? Elastic maybe?? I could not get the damned things to stick down. I tried all the usual medicaments, but in the end, the only thing was to cut the front number along the (convenient) bonnet line, then dissolve up some of the gum on the remains of the decal sheet and paint that under the roundels and gently persuade them down. I dunno, where's Cartograph when you need them most, eh? Once they're set, I'll blow a coat of Akrifan one shot clear over them all. Oh, well, the p/e wheels are nice! BTW, a tip there. If, like me, you have old, hard fingers that won't hold chrome, pop the tyres on the chromed rims first, then you can hold the damned things while you assemble them, without them pinging across the room. Cheers, Martin
Scratchbuilder
Well, the owner got it this morning and has already got it in a glass case, so I guess he's chuffed with it! Now I can get on making my Prentice and Moth models. Martin
