Moustik
Good afternoon everybody, I would like to paint an A380 and a Boeing 737 with their respective manufacturer's primer paint. I tried to find tips or clues on the forum but I didn't find a proper answer to my question. Can someone know the equivalent with Tamiya for theses primers ? I suppose that for Airbus I can use a set of greens like XF-51, XF-76 and XF-62 but for Boeing I don't know. Thank you for your help. If you spot mistakes in my text, please advise me, english is not my mother tongue. Julien
vexedben
Hi Julien, Don't know if this will be helpful but I believe that Airbus green primer is RAL 6021 pale green from memory. Hopefully you will be able to colour match with the Tamiya paints. Ben
Paul J
The parts I handle at work such as a lot of the mechanisms and wing tip lights are, for Boeing or at least some, the same interior green as WW2 or a bright pale apple green, Those of Airbus tend to be a 'cooking apple green' colour . I have some pics and will post if I can find them BUT I can't say whether the overall airframe is the same.
