Dr. Quack
Hi all. Can anybody tell me where I'm going wrong? (With posting photos that is!) I'm using Flickr (and managed to get it to work before) but it now steadfastly refuses to post photos.... I've tried this in Chrome and Firefox (all on PC). In Flickr I have the relevant photo showing, clicked on the 'share' arrow and copied the long BBC code. In the BM reply box I have clicked on the 'Insert Image from URL' button and pasted the copied Flickr link......nothing happens. I'v also tried clipping off the front and ends of the copied string but still cannot get this to work - annoying as it used to work fine. If it helps, the copied Flickr BBC string is this 60.jpg by Niall Robertson, on Flickr Possible contributing factors are that Quack is A drunk B old C stupid D all of the above I throw myself on the mercy of my BM colleagues. Dr. Quack
OOOOOOHHHHHHH So THAT'S how it works!!!!!!!!!!!
dogsbody
Dear Dr. Quack, When you post the Flickr BBCode, do not use the " Insert Image from URL " button. Just post the code directly into the reply box. Chris

dogsbody
Success, Dr. Quack. Now, see that little bit of code under your posted picture? If you wish, you can remove that next time. When you add the BBcode into the reply/post box, you can highlight that wee bit of code and then remove it. It is a minor thing and hardly worth worrying about. You have success now, so roll with that. Chris

dogsbody
Oh, I don't know. I haven't made up any albums yet. I know that EMBED used to work on the forum, for posting pictures, but that stopped at least a year ago. Now only posting BBCode works. sanfrandragon
My issue is sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and yet I'm sure I'm doing the same thing. When I copy and paste some times it just stays as a link sometimes jus the text (not underlined) and other times it magically converts into the picture, and I've no idea why. https://flic.kr/p/2iJfo1G

That does not work here. You need to use the BBCODE option. Chris

Then I don't know what your problem is. I'm still using my PC with Windows 7. I have switched some things like Britmodeller and Flickr to Chrome and everything works great. I open two tabs, one for each and I can post pictures quickly. Chris

Markh-75
I learned how to add pics in the same way in the Airfix forum, I already had a Flikr account but I do the process with my Mac. I use and much prefer the Mac because it keeps my music collection safely and lets me send music between devices without losing the whole lot. I found a major confliction in Windows that automatically deleted all my music even when using iTunes for Windows. I much prefer the Mac systems to Windows because it’s very stable and so much easier to use (once I got used to it). i apologise; I digress a tad!🤭
