planecrazee
And we're off......Well, now that I have managed to complete the Vampire for the De Havilland GB - I can crack on with the Bf109. Below is the kit that I am building: I'm just going for OOB on this one and so far the kit has proved to be excellent and is going together without any hassles. I've made a start by beginning with cockpit and managed to get that completed today - pics as follows: The kit is going together like a dream - in fact I don't think I've ever had two fuselage halves go together better than with this model - the tolerances make for a perfect fit. I'm currently busy bringing all the fuselage, wings etc together so I'll look to update with more photos once I've made some more progress. planecrazee
So, I seem to have got carried away trying to make sure that I meet the deadline for the build that I've forgot to post any photos recently. I bought the Xtradecal Bf109 Stab Part 2 decal sheet which has some excellent schemes, but for this one I wanted to keep the scheme fairly simple so I opted for Bf109 E-4 flown by III./JG 77's TO, Greece 1941. This is my progress so far - basically completed all the painting stages and ready for gloss coat and decals:
planecrazee
Right folks - she's done - just before we were given a week extra on the GB (dammit). Never mind, at least she's in on time. All completed now with some pictures in the gallery. Built totally out of box with the addition of some quickboost exhausts as the kit ones were poor and the addition of stretched sprue aerials. Hope you enjoy and as always your comments and feedback are much appreciated. 6

V-P Thanks VP - no worries about the extra week - I'd have only took longer than needed otherwise.
