This is my attempt at building this older kit 1997. Hope you like, as usual all comments and suggestions welcome.

Dan,

 

You've wrestled that particular ugly duckling in to a very nice build - unusual, nice marks and build and 1/72!

Thanks for that, ugly but beautiful I think. It was hard graft all the same.The markings are for hope I spell this right, Marinefliegergeschwader 5 , Bundesmarine Kiel 1985.

That's right. MFG-5 operated all the Navy Do28s.

Nicely done. The kit is a lot older than 1997. I think Matchbox originally released it around 1974.

I agree, was going to but have to admit, at that point I just wanted to finish it, but still could add them and repost.

That's a fantastic model of an aircraft I've always thought attractive.

 

I did this Matchbox kit as a young-un (late 1970s/very early 80s), so I'm feeling very sentimental now.
