I have now got it standing on its own legs and added the pylons. I do think that one wing droops lower than the other, but I am not going to worry about it too much. As few more bits to add in the next day or so and hopefully it will be finished.

I am now calling this one finished although to be honest it has been this way for a month or so waiting for a certain part from a certain person if he can find it. When he does it the part will be added to the model. It has been on display at a few shows now and has bought favourable comments. It is a very good kit to build, but is not a shake and bake one with some care and attention required with certain parts.

Shamefaced and suitably rebuked by your remarks I've rushed back from my weekend away and found the parts!  No damned instructions though...

 

...don't suppose you know the kit part numbers (especially the etched brass, I'm looking at a bewildering array of fins).

 

I'll keep looking for the instructions in the meantime.

 

Having seen this model in the flesh I can verify Jabba has done his usual smashing job with it!

 

EDIT: I've figured out which was which, the goods will be on their way this week!
