corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Some PE work today but I got a problem ! I did'nt find the pilot cushion, and it's nowhere to find, part Z2 but there's no Z tree !! So, let's say that the "Phantom"'s pilot really appreciate comfort ! Saint milliput has helped once again, I Wonder if milliput has a peremption date since mine take years to cure ! More to come soon, 5 more evening on the Bench Hooooray 🤩🤩🤩 Take care Dears and have a funny modelling Sunday ! Sincerely. CC
Brian
A lanc pilot could also have used a seat pack style parachute. Cheers
Mancunian airman
You are correct Brian in that most pilots used the 'seat type; parachute . . . .

Mancunian airman
CC Just a few photos showing the deepened bomb bay . . . . First I cut off the side fuselage edges Measured the extra 4mm needed to get depth filed both sides Re glued the fuselage pieces back in place Shows the extra depth obtained Filed the cockpit floor (bomb bay roof) Being flat means I can cut stubs out of bomb-bay I hope you can look at this on your kit when it comes to it . . . may need to shorten the two poles along side the nav/Wop's table and may have to reduce the height of the pilots seat platform, wont know till I reach that stage . . . . Ian ps Is the kit 4,000Lb bomb the correct size or is it a little on the small size I wonder ?? Really great job Ian, Congratulations ! I think that the cookie has been shrinked by tamiya. At the start of Spad's build, I remember that he looked at that ! I already glued lot of PE around the pilot seat and from the start I choosed to let the bomb bay closed. I also need room to put Lanc parts in the fuselage. However, if you want a piece of PD 309 for your Lanc, feel free to tell it and PM your adress ! Sincerely. CC

The Spadgent
Great pad work btw. I have had milliput not dry before but only because I didn’t mix it with the right ratio. Did it dry yet?

Bell209
Coming along nicely. Remember Tamiya put the wireless operator's window too far forward. Best mod that before you join the fuselage halves! I like the radiator flaps on your engines. After rechecking W4783 in the Australian War Memorial Museum last week, I reckon I need to modify mine, too. I'm also getting rid of the rivets - the fuselage is smooth rivetted and the rivets on the wings are barely visible.

On mine and on the Spadgent one ! Almost together in fact ! Rivets are not easy to track on, flush on the wings but proud on the central section of the fuselage... Thank for the kind words ! Mancunian airman
I am very surprised that the aircraft did not carry H2s. I had heard that not all main force aircraft carried the device which makes it hard work for the said aircraft's navigator ?? 1

But I Don't know why, I read long time ago that the device was installed on 2 or 3 aircrafts in a Sqdn at least at the beginning. Now may be a case of disponibility of the device, I don't know sorry, That's why I sanded the Belly of my lanc. Thanks for the kind words.
