Mottlemaster
I have gone against my original plan of finishing my Battle of Britain movie Buchon before starting this one but i am waiting for some bits and bobs to arrive for the next stage of work on that so have dived headlong in on this project . To save the pain of Britmodellers haveing to read my poor typing i took the liberty of photographing the aircraft history from the instructions. I am useing the Revell Bf109 G-10 (kit no 03958 as the base model . I have not come across a 1/48 kit with so few parts for years . All 40 parts aare used and there is no marking option . It reminds me a bit of one of the small free kits that came with prod_img-198128.jpg.thumb.319.319 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr I think that the full tital for my project could be Bf 109 Kellogs -14 The conversion parts come from the New Antares Models set made from hard yellow resin P1020344 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr P1020343 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr P1020340 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr P1020339 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr It looks like a simple conversion with the main work involving the underwing gun inserts ,new 4 blde prop , tail weel insert and scribing some new access panels . Going to go and do some chain drilling and cutting now . Edited July 28, 2017 by Mottlemaster dead photo Bucket

BerndM
That Revell kit brings back a lot of memories, nice and interesting project. There were aircrafts in the cornflakes boxes ?

There were aircrafts in the cornflakes boxes ? Yes i remember in the 1960'sgetting a Spitfire and Huricane and a few years later you could save up tokens and get a complete RAF airfield including nisan huts and control tower . I have the airfield in one of my display caases. I have just edited my thred to remove dead P/B links and replace them with new pics . not sure if correct order but better thn nothing . Now my Buchon is safe and sound on my 109 shelf next to my Allycat 109 b conversion (they do look neat together ) , its time to get the K-14 together .as there aroun 40 parts icluding the conversion it should not take to long . Firt a test fit of the Revell parts . P1020349 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr I am plesently suprised with how good the fit is , it may well be filler free (not including the cconversion parts) I think that anyone who has recently battled with the likes of an Eduard 1/48 bf 110 could do spend some time with this kit as therapy to aid the healing process. P1020369 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr I wont dwell on the side wall detail as there isnt much to dwell on . The cockpit detail more than makes up for it ...one word superb . Looks like revell based the seat on my Grandmothers comfy chair . P1020370 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr The wing sections have been removed P1020352 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr and the new resin 30mm cannon insert instald P1020362 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr They were an ok fit .gaps were filled with plastiv strip and super glue/talk mix . Going to get fuselage buttond up next so i can remove the tail wheel secttion. Forgot this pic to explain what a K-14 is all about P1020345 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr P1020346 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr P1020347 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr Edited July 6, 2017 by Mottlemaster added pics
galgos
An interesting conversion Alistair, I love doing things like this too. That Revell plastic looks almost soft, what's it like to work with? Max

The sharpest detail is here P1020383 by Alistair Pearce, on Flickr I will remove the Revell made in china logo as this must be unique to the G-10 as there are no clear pics of any K-14's having this

Kent , iv got a little way into it and can say that fit of parts is excellent ,however i think i found a built in fault that requires some plastic trimming to get some parts lined up . There is some lovely dtail and of course its 100% Revell value . Im co host of the Me 262 G/B next year so i hope you can join us there for some jet fun . (this also applies to anyone who who reads this here.) The bottom is almos finished so while she is on her back heres a naughty pic .
