Oooohhhh! That's flippin gorgeous, you've done a belter of a job with that, seriously impressive Ian.

I'll second the request for more pics and close ups, too much good stuff to look at here.

Beautiful work,

Thanks guys.

If you click on the links to the side of each photo, you see the larger shots on my Flickr page.  I'll bear in mind larger photos in future, but I did get a ticking off once for posting photos that were too large (can't remember which forum though).

Anyway, one especially for you :)

Excellent model, really impressive!

Just a hint to all builders: The lower of the two aux intakes on each side of the bow should be closed when the engine is off (by gravity). This is valid for M4, not the older!

Wow Ian!

I followed your build and the result is stunning! I love the weathered look of this Afghanistan veteran. All the subtle details with chipping etc. With the high-res photo on Flickr there's a lot of eye candy.

You proved that this Kitty Hawk SU-17 is buildable!!

Cheers Evert

I spotted that after I glued the damn things. Not accurate in that respect, but I like it. :D

Very well done indeed.

Lovely to see something so well faded & shaded instead of just heavily washed.

Top job! Soo..... whats next?

Well, for an allegedly "unbuildable" or "not worth any effort" kit, that is the 'dog's dangly bits'. Fabulous looking model - well done mate!

Ah, taking the easy option eh? Cant blame you really.

Have you done the obvious things like a proper Lightning or maybe some Gulf War RAF bits? Just thinking of your weathering stuff and how it might suit. Im trying to build up to some "pink" RAF aircraft myself, but its scary.

I've a Lightning in the stash, it probably be green & grey. I'm planning on getting the Tanmodel Buccaneer, on its release, and yes, it will be a Gulf War Sky Pirate!

More Greek HAF Phantoms to come, so some dirty Spooks. And to go with them, HAF A-7H Corsair II's. :D

Another of Kittyhawks "finest" turned into something special. I love the paint fading variations.

I admire your painting skills.

Well Ian, you've done it again! The looks incredible!  I find that your style of painting draws my eye in like a moth to flame. Please keep up the good work, in the end it can only make me a better modeller from all that I learn. :worthy:
