RAAF Mustang IV Colours

Looking for some help on colours for a RAAF 3 Sqn Mustang IV.
I'm currently building the Airfix 1/72 kit and using the Red Roo decals for aircraft KH667, CV-P.
The colour call out on the kit is different to what Red Roo suggest.
I spent half the night trying to work out the ANA numbers to cross reference to Humbrol or Model Master paints and also to the actual aircraft.
The issue I'm having is with ANA 613 OD. Some are saying Humbrol 155 OD, the kit says Humbrol 30 Dark Green, Model Master has an ANA 613 (2050) and the tones of these colours are all different.
Humbrol 155 has a brown tone, Humbrol 30 is green and MM2050 dark green.
I have also looked at other modellers kits of a RAAF Mustang IV and there is a variation in what green/OD was used.
What are peoples thoughts on this and what have you used.
Also what about ANA 602 Light Gray?

Paul.

ANA602 Became light gull grey FS36440 which is humbrol 129

The other grey ANA603 Is FS36118 which is humbrol 125

as for OD that is a can of worms, really is a case of picking one to use or if you have a refernce one finding one close to the image. Humbrol 155 is for me a good OD, can always chuck some humbrol 30 in it to green it up if you like.

For the ANA equivalents I have:

Hu 155 for Dark Green

Hu 126 for the Ocean Grey

Hu 129 for the Medium Sea Grey

This is taken from a Britmodeller thread here, which also mentions Mustang CV-P.

Ah...

In the link I referred to above you said 126...

good question (I have the airfix raf mustang ready to go), the colours used are often quoted as ANA613, ANA603 and ANA602, which equate to humbrol 155, 126 and 129 in my book. Colourcoats I believe have them as the modern federal standard equivalents

ANA602 Light Grey - ACUS01 FS26440 Light Gull Grey

ANA603 Sea Grey - ACUS14 FS26440 Gunship Grey

ANA613 Olive Drab - ACUS15 Olive Drab 41

Thing to remember about the starter set colours is that they have to work from a limited pallette based on what is available in the little acrylic pots AND keep the numbers down so all paints can be put in the kit.

Generally the colours should be taken on advisement
