Bandai Star Wars 1/144 Fleet

Recommended Posts

Thanks very much! The red, by the way, is Tamiya TS-33 Dull Red. As soon as I finished the Y-wing, I looked at my the sprues of one of my un-built A-wings........and added another squad member:

I love masking A-wings.

Naturally I've got an X-wing joining them too :)

So, the concept behind these is that I was trying to paint them as a Consular Escort squadron, in colors to match the Radiant VII. Obviously, someday, when I have space to display them (when I retire somewhere that I can have a shed for models....) I'll have to scratch-build a 1:144 scale Radiant VII (the Randy Cooper model isn't quite there -- it's 24" long; at 1:144 it should be 31"). But for now they have nothing to escort.....so I'm thinking of a U-wing in the same color scheme. Or even better would be if Bandai does a 1:144 Millennium Falcon in the version from Solo....

Finished up two X-wings this weekend - the red consular escort, and Hera Syndulla's Phoenix Squadron X-wing, using Nicholas Sagan's decal set.

On the red consular escort I apparently got a little mixed up as to which was an upper wing and which was a lower, so the wing markings aren't *quite* what I intended on top, but only I can tell and get annoyed at that :)
