An excellent source on the Canadian Harvards is Harvard! The North American Trainers in Canada by David Fletcher and Doug McPhail.  ISBN 0-9693825-0-2.  

 

Large format, 200+ pages with hundreds of photographs plus drawings and a listing of all aircraft used by the RCAF including the Yale, whether built by North American, Noorduyn or CCF.  The differences among the marks are discussed and illustrated.

 

I was lucky enough to get a copy off eBay and won't have to trot into the public library for it any more.
