Mach82
Airfix 1/72 Avro Vulcan B.k.2 XH562, 9 Sqn, RAF Waddington 1978 Here is my completed build of the Airfix, 1/72 Scale Avro Vulcan. The build was mostly out of the box with a few after market items being some resin jet pipes, and a metal air to air refuelling probe. There was also some scratch building work around the crew access hatch using some styrene rod and brass tube. For a quick build, I really had some fun and very happy with the end result. I hope you enjoy. Build Thread: Edited September 10, 2017 by Mach82 Added build thread 21
Old Man
Leading Seaman, Royal Naval Division, Antwerp, October 1914. Figure rated 54mm, by Tommy's War, in resin. The unit was composed of Naval reservists called to the colors at mobilization, in excess of the numbers needed to fully crew the fleet. They were sent to assist in the defense of Antwerp, and were in action there for a about a week. WIP can be found here:

Builder
Tamiya 1/72 Mosquito Mk IV Here is my second entry into this GB. Build Summary I built this kit completely OOB. I did suffer two major issues, the first being that the decals for the squadron markings were ruined, so I left them off all together and the second being the canopy was slightly damaged with Lacquer Thinner, however I have since minimized this, but it is still slightly visible. Apart from this I thoroughly enjoyed the build. Build Thread Final Reveal Video Final Photos

PhantomBigStu
Got to figure out a more permanent mounting system and indeed a better way to photograph it but unlikely to do both in time for the deadline so here it is, my final build, Airfix Vulcan XM607 Operation Black Buck Sortie 1. Painted with xtracrylixs raf paints, with wickes metal tubing for the exhausts and and airfix nato weapons set supplied the ecm pod, with the pylons for both the pod and the other wing scratchbuilt. Finished off with winsor and newton matt varnish

nimrod54
BR Standard Class 9F 92220 Evening Star Dapol Kitmaster OO This is the Dapol Kitmaster Evening Star kit. I removed the handrails and replaced them with Alan Gibson parts. The decals are from Fox Decals and nameplates are Modelmaster etch. I brush painted the green with Phoenix Precision BR Loco Green (Post '54). The couplings are from Smiths and other additional parts are GEM white metal. I then decided to have a look for some crew figures and came across a company called Modelu based in Wales, and they offer 3D printed crew figures in several scales. In the past I have bought crew and had difficulty getting them to fit, but these were perfect and once painted up they add that bit of life to the footplate. by John Leigh, on Flickr by John Leigh, on Flickr by John Leigh, on Flickr by John Leigh, on Flickr by John Leigh, on Flickr 25
