Marcel
I had to restart my modeling mojo with an easy model so here is my 3rd Eduard Spitfire. Built as Pierre Clostermann’s "NL-B" using resin upper cowling, wheels and exhausts, Master cannon barrels and Eduard bronze U/C legs. Paints are Tamiya acrylics and the decals are a mix of Eduard, Airfix and Renaissance (the nose art) items. Thanks for looking.
Simon382
Great looking Spit, I'm very lucky in that the real thing flies over my house most days
Starfighter
VERY nice indeed, and I like the restained weathering as well. Thanks for sharing, Marcel.

Marcel
Thank you very much guys. I really like this Eduard kit, the "Sweet little sixteen" (MK.XVI bubbletop) is already waiting :-)
bearmatt
This is one good looking Spit! What (flat) varnish did you use? Cheers b.
Marcel
Thanks bearmatt. Several years ago I discovered Pactra matt varnish and I am very happy with it. Easy to use, can be thinned with Tamiya (acrylic) thinner and it dries in seconds. Highly recommended!
bearmatt
Thx Marcel, Where can you actually get this? Never heard of that Pactra before...but the result speaks for itself. b.
Marcel
I think that Pactra acrylics are being produced in Poland nowadays, quite easy to order from Czech e-shops. But I don’t know where to buy in Switzerland. Ebay may be a source...
Jovac
I really like your work. Can you tell me what color you are using. Regards.
kapam
Excellent! You refer to it as "easy" but I would need a lot of work and probably still not get close to as nice a model as that.

baldwin8
The good lighting sheds nice light on a very well put together Spitfire. Nice balance on the weathering.

Marcel
Thank you very much, I’m glad you like her. The paints are Tamiya acrylics XF81, 82, and 83, but randomly mixed with white (the greys) and sky (the RAF green).
