Hi Tolga

Its great to see this kit still lives on. I see them on ebay for stupid money these days but it was the first of its kind back in the day. I bought it the very first week it was released in the UK (A long time ago in a Galaxy far far away) from a very specialist model shop (now gone) in Teddington who always got their hands on the Star Wars kits the moment the were released.

This kit was the first in the long line of ISD kits to follow, and at the time, it was the only accurate representation of the vessel on any market - the Kenner die cast probably being the only near representation of an ISD beforehand.

I can still remember just how precious even the model box artwork was at the time due to the lack of the internet and easy access reference to what an ISD looked like -

Good luck with your build  - I look forward to following it.

Hi,

I bought it about a year ago, it seems to be as detailed as its competence.

I tried to use first time epoxy putty. It was a little sticky but i like it :)

after the putty dried i sanded it. the result was satisfying.

After that i started the other parts, i'm working with tamiya white putty.

coming on good there and looking forward to seeing what you can do with this old classic- it has plenty of potential despite its age and inaccuracies when compared to the new releases of the same
