diamant
Dear friends, I have been working with my father on a new project, the Boulton Paul Defiant series. Although there are a lot of information, books and photos available I have gaps of information in some particular aircrafts. These are the aircrafts already done: 1) Boulton Paul P.82 Defiant (K8310) Prototype - August 11, 1937 2) Boulton Paul P.82 Defiant K8620 Second prototype, with turret and Merlin II, flown May 18, 1939 3) Boulton Paul P.82 Defiant (K8310) Fighter Prototype 4) The Defiant first prototype, K8310 with a single 20mm Hispano cannon 5) Boulton Paul Defiant Mk I N3328 DZ/Z - 151 Sqdn as night fighter. 6) Boulton Paul Defiant Mk I N3340 DY/D 255 Sqdn based on RAF Kirton in Lindsey Lincolnshine UK, early 1941 7) Boulton Paul Defiant Mk I V1110 RA/H of 410 Sqdn based at RAF Drem, UK, Autum 1941 8) Boulton Paul Defiant Mk II AA370 England 1941 9) Defiant Mk I L6950 with bomb racks, for trials at Aircraft Experimental Establishment 1939. 10) Defiant Mk I T3997 AQ on Air Sea Rescue duties with N 276 A.S.R. Squadrons 1942. And these are the candidates. We only have 24 kits available. 11 Defiant Mk II N1550 First prototype Mk II 1940 12 Defiant Mk II N1550 First prototype Mk II 1942 13 Defiant TT III DS121 1945 14 Defiant TT I AA581 June 1944 15 Defiant NF Mk II AA583 ZJ/ M Flown by Squadron Leader R.C. This aircraft features small blue and white SEAC markings. The only references I have for this aircraft are drawings mentioned in: - Scale_Aircraft_Modelling_-_Vol_16_No_04 page 179 - Review of the Classic Airframes 1/48 Boulton Paul Defiant TT.Mk.I / III Target Tug Does any of you could confirm that this scheme is correct?. There should be a a photo of this aircraft somewhere. Many thanks in advance Kind regards Santiago PD: I posted the photos of the models done on the Ready for inspection section. charlie_c67
Personally, I'm looking forward to numbers 18, 20 and 24. Have you any WiP pics of the Defiant fighter prototype? Interested to see how you achieved it.
