Small update have been busy making up the base usual format for my builds kingspan and boxed off shaped to basic form and first layer of silicone to start off the sea

Using cling film to seperate the hull from the base for now until I have the shape sort of right and then can paint before setting the hull.

Big base!

Stuart

Yes it is tall I wanted to give it the height so that when on the club display table people do not have to lean over the other stuff and risk catching other models

Beefy - That looks really Kool B)

Now if only you'd stop starting builds :nono:

;)

Rob

Double negative it could read as start stopping other builds

Anyway I have to have something to keep me busy while the silicone is drying out

So with that gentle prod  :poke: I will get on with this one for now

Base coat of colour and starting to build up the wave shapes want to get it something like the photo that Kev posted earlier in this build.

keeping the hull clean of excess sealer and paint with the cling film not just used for wrapping your sandwich up

And when dry it placed in position now for a coat or two of the Making Waves and to finish off the wave shape and paint

Looking very promising, though I'm thinking the stern wake should be centred rather than from each corner of the transom.

OK so after my little Jolly for Paddy's day I have tried to get back to this looking at the photos I have removed the rear waves and started again with fresh silicone

And using a similar method to that used on Eskimo I have started to build up the forward waves

That sea effect is really getting there. I trust you will be wearing the leprechaun outfit at Telford this year?

The sea & those wakes is looking excellent Beefy, especially the bow on photo, it looks just like the photo I've thrilled to for over 50 years in my old copy of "The Battle of the Narrow Seas" , MGB 447 initiating a turn but pointing straight at the camera, looking awesome, just like yours in fact. :)
