Royal Australian Navy S-2G Tracker

Recommended Posts

I am currently  converting Hasagawa's 1/72 S-2F-1 Grumman Tracker in to the S-2G as flown by the Royal Australian Navy from 1967-1984. Australia also flew the S-2E variant.  I have used the donor kit, Plane Bits conversion set, Hawkeye decals and the Eduard coloured photoetch to add more cockpit detail.

1st step was to re-scribe all the panel detail.....and there was lots.

Next step was to add the resin detail......

The fuselage extension was one of the characteristics of the S-2G variant.

Other work included hollowing out intakes and drilling appropriate openings.

It's slowly starting to take shape.

You have made a great job of the Tracker Noel, she looks a treat

Another vote here for postimage.org which is quick and easy to use

Seven minutes from taking the shot, bunging it into the computer, uploading to post image.org and getting it on-screen in Britmodeller

I thought that was way superior to Phot*bucket in every way and they don't pester me to go premium

Anyway, end of ad for a company I don't have shares in thanks for coming back to the Tracker, it was one of my favourites back in the day
