1/72 Valom Yakolev Yak-7 (Late Production)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

here's my attempt on Valom's 1/72 Yakolev Yak-7 (Late Production) in markings of 728. IAP, 1943/1944.

Decals from the box.

The kit includes photo-etched details for the cockpit such as belts and instrument panel and resin cockpit sidewalls and wheels (which I did not use because of serious fit issues).

Although similar in the sprue layout, this kit is not identical with the Dakoplast and ICM moldings.

It's of short-run nature and needs some TLC to build.

Painted with acylics from the Gunze/Sangyo range.

All pictures by Wolfgang Rabel of IGM Cars & Bikes.

Thank you very much.

I am not entirely happy though, as the spinner is undersized.

Hello Roman,

really nice job on this handsome plane and congrats on finishing the kit, I suggest it could not be the easiest build!

Cheers

Hi My Friend ROman!!!

I was watching this lovely clean build from this Valom kit that needs to be built with TLC,  and while enjoying the wonderful pictures you shares here, was looking the nice detail this gem of a kit has.  I like a lot the detail level, the colourful paint job and the nice weathering you did here, seem your Soviet Aircraft collection has been growing highly in quality and quantity, and BTW while looking your last masterpiece have remembered the very first of your works showed here that I even now like a huge lot  since some time ago, and that is one in my Pending Projects Box, depicted here:

Also, I have been how much you have grown in modeling from that time to right now,  a real quantum jump!!!

Thank you very much for sharing,

Cheers,

Luis Alfonso.
