Airfix 1/48 TSR2

Recommended Posts

Scale: 1/48
Manufacturer: Airfix
Paint: Tamiya and Vallejo metal
Extras: SAC metal undercarriage, coastal kits blurred runway
Weathering: Dark dirt wash
Decals: OOB

Shes rather a large model once built. Really struggled to get her on my photo background but did the best i could. No major problems with the build, just took longer than normal due to a house move. Had its first outing at the Milton Keynes show last weekend and had lots of positive comments. May bring it to Telford this year but will have to see nearer the time.

Great kit and really interesting how presented on a great base.

Always look on this kit a revival of Airfix, I have 1/72, and 1/48, excitement when issued, for a good price always puts a smile 😊 on my face.

Looks splendid, especially in the rotate.  Great finish.  Must dig out my 1/72 one.  It's been in the stash for about 12 years.

Very very nice. Is there a clear plastic holding her in the rotate or is it just good placing of ballast?

Believe it or not she does actuaully balance to perfection! More luck than judgement. But the plan from the start was to use the thinnest bit of fishing wire to hold the back down, so i use this as well
