BBMF Spitfire "EB-G" Spinner

I have begun my dream build - the BBMF in 1:32 scale, starting with a couple of Spitfires and Hurricanes.

The first Spitfire is to be the Mark IIa P7350 "EB-G". My base is the Revell 1:32 kit p/n 80-3986, along with "Kits World" decals and "Yahu" instrument panel.

My question concerns the Spinner. Regardless of what it looked like in early WW2, I am trying to find the appropriate 3-blade spinner to match what P7350 has today...and it certainly isn't the shape supplied with the kit, which looks - well - too short and dumpy. I have scoured the interwebs, this forum without success...can anyone advise...

1. Which spinner type does full size P7350 fly with these days? Rotol? DeHaviland? Other?

2. Does any after market shop supply this in 1:32 scale (with blades)...I don't mind having to "fiddle" with it a bit.

MANY thanks,

Eric

Looks similar to the Rotol unit fitted to a lot of Mk V's, though the blades are different. This would probably be the easiest starting point.

A quick google reveals that the old hsegawa Mk.V kit comes with both a DH and Rotol unit, so they are out there is spares box land.

see https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/has/kit_has_08052.shtml

The unit originally fiited to most Mk.II's was the blunt Spitfire Rotol unit, also seen on most BoB Hurricane Mk.I's

IIRC Ironically the blades used by BBNF are now made in Germany...

Yes, that is a Mark V Rotol type spinner. As Troy suggests the current prop blades are most likely from Hoffman, who certainly make a lot of warbird prop blades including for Spitfires.

P7350 has a Mk V prop fitted,  which ordinarily should be fitted to the flights Mk V AB910 which is fitted with a four blade I believe taken from a Spit in storage, broken down for spares - possibly a Mk16.

Yep,  and IIRC, they also made a pair of opposite rotation 4-blade props for the XP-82 and F-82E each being restored to flight; the XP-82 is about to  make its first flight after an incredible restoration. if anyone is interested, do a search for 'XP-82 restoration and prepare to be amazed!

I've been told this is slightly small for the Revell kit, just as a heads up.
