This is the first of my pair of 1/72 Hasegawa Yak-3s, representing White 24, an aircraft of the 431 FAR (Fighter Aviation Regiment, I think?), 315 GuFAD (Guards Fighter Aviation Division?) of the 2nd Baltic Fleet flown by Alexei Suraveshkin in 1944. The script under the cockpit of this presentation aircraft advises it was bought by Anna Selivanova from a collective farm in the Saratov region.

As noted above the kit is the Hasegawa kit which can still be obtained quite cheaply though has in most respects been comprehensively superceded by the more recent Zvezda kit. I added Eduard Steel seatbelts and replaced the pitot tubes with Albion Alloys 0.4mm aluminium tube. The paints used were the revised Colourcoats VVS colours, ACS21 A14 Steel Grey for the interior and wheelbays, ACS02 AMT7 Blue for the undersides and ACS11 Blue Grey and ACS12 Dark Grey for the disruptive uppersurface camouflage. The markings were from the Begemot set for the Yak-3, in this case option no.18.

Build thread is here - thanks as usual to all who took part

Cheers,

Stew

... and this is the second of my pair of 1/72 Hasegawa Yak-3s, representing White 17, an aircraft of the 303rd FAD (Fighter Aviation Division?) of the 1st Aerial Army, 3rd Byelorussian Front, Spring 1945:

Hi folk's it's Hobbyboss' s little La-7 easy kit, great fun and cheap to buy only the canopy I could find fault with simply down to the

nature of the format in which these kit's are made.

                KP 1:72 MIG 15 UTI

For your inspection I have my KP Mig 15 UTI. This was my first venture into vintage kits, this one being from 1978. That said, it went together with ease, there was little flash on the sprues and the decals were ace.

This is my entry for this GB. It is the Modelsvit kit of the Su-20 which I have built as an Iraqi Air Force aircraft circa 1991 using various parts of  the Linden hill Iraqi Fighters decal sheet.

The build thread is here.

The first of my Antonov twins to reach the finish line. This is the Amodel 1/72 An-24T, finished as CCCP-46280, the fourth production An-24T in the colours it wore at the 1967 and 1969 Paris air shows.
